“Truth at this moment! “This is Laura Keating’s mantra for composing vibrant melodies for her acoustic guitar and powerful yet gentle vocals. Laura likes to tell a good story so there’s always a message in her songs. Keating takes her listeners on a journey to the heart and soul of life…sometimes mellow and reflective, sometimes raw and edgy but always emotional to the core. Coming from a musical family, Laura was toting a guitar around as early as the age of 7, back then entertaining classmates with her little girl band, “The Pussycats”. Now as a soloist, Laura’s compelling style brings to mind such artists as Melissa Etheridge, The Indigo Girls,  Joni Mitchell and Ani Difranco. Laura Keating lives to write and play and we’re honoured to have her join us at NellieJamesToo!
